Ireland

Why Ireland?

Ireland offers one of Europe's most straightforward paths to citizenship by descent. If you have an Irish-born parent or grandparent, you may be entitled to Irish citizenship — and by extension, full EU citizenship with the right to live, work, and travel freely across all 27 EU member states plus the EEA.

Key Benefits

  • Full EU citizenship — live and work anywhere in the European Union
  • Access to Ireland's favorable corporate tax environment (12.5% rate)
  • Strong passport — visa-free access to 180+ countries
  • No residency requirement to obtain citizenship by descent
  • Dual citizenship permitted — no need to renounce your current nationality
  • Access to EU healthcare and education systems

Citizenship by Descent Process

Irish citizenship by descent is available through the Foreign Births Register. If your parent was born in Ireland, you are automatically an Irish citizen. If your grandparent was born in Ireland, you must register in the Foreign Births Register before you can claim citizenship. The Jerz Group handles the entire documentation, application, and registration process.

Who Qualifies?

You qualify if you have at least one parent or grandparent who was born on the island of Ireland (Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland). Great-grandparent claims are also possible if your parent registered before your birth. Our team traces your lineage and gathers all required vital records.
